Colorful Cupcake

Hello everybody! I hope everyone's weeks have been great! This was the last week of the semester for me in college. Onto working out more regularly, getting a tan, continuing to learn French, and to practicing guitar more! Of course makeup is in the bunch. With this look, I just wanted it to be really bright and colorful. I think I accomplished just that! What are your plans for the summer?

Lighthouse Bay

Hello! How has everyone been? I had gone to Ulta recently because I've been going crazy for glitter. I had gone over to where LA Splash is and found the prettiest color! Black with gold flecks! Had to get it. I also got a couple glitter liners from Too Faced. When deciding what to do with the LA Splash color, I came across this beautiful picture of a lighthouse and knew exactly what to do. Hope you like it!

Summertime Madness

Hey! I am a copy editor for my college's newspaper The Examiner, and for the fashion section, I was able to do a tutorial! I had just gotten the Chinadoll palette from Lime Crime, which I really like by the way, so I decided to play around with and have fun with that! Wisteria Lane

Hello! College is almost out! I have mixed feelings about it. I love my classes. So leaving them will suck. But I am really excited for this summer. I've been doing the P90X program for working out and I'm almost done with the first month! This summer is the summer of fitness for me. I'm sure everyone's heard of the release of Sugarpill's new Heartbreaker palette- I ordered it, but I haven't gotten it in the mail yet. Super stoked! Because Sugarpill has been on the mind, I decided to play with my super pretty pigments from them. I was originally planning to use glitter with this look, but after foiling Starling, I knew there was no way I was going to touch it. It was way to pretty to cover up! I hope everyone's weeks have been great! My brother just turned 18 and graduated from high school, so this week has been pretty exciting for me. :)

LA Kings

Hey! I am sooooo sorry I haven't posted anything in a while! My laptop had crashed! My dad managed to save all my data though, so after he fixed it and got it back to me, I needed to post this as soon as possible. I had had this look ready to be posted so long ago. And then it crashed. Sigh. So with this look I was super stoked about it because I went to the Kings playoff game against Vancouver. I needed to be sporting LA Kings makeup. Period. I hope you guys like it! I have been doing a lot of looks, so I'll try to get them up soon and consistently now that I have my laptop back! :)

Sunset Kisses

Hello! I had started this blog post a couple of days ago, as in getting the pictures ready for it, and then I left my laptop for a while when my system decided it was time for a restart for the updates to be in effect. :( I was so frustrated that it did it without my permission I decided the laptop and I needed a break for a while. So, now I'm back on it! lol
I already have a few looks lined up for the blog... so keep posted!!

Ooo and a mini rant today. On Instagram (my username: @geenabarret if you're interested :)), it kind of drives me crazy when I see someone's makeup look that I know, and their name is nowhere to be seen in a tag... or when I see a look, and I know who did it, it's used in some kind of makeup contest...and no tag to be found. So irritating. As a copy editor for the newspaper for my college and plagiarism ALWAYS being a complete NO-NO. I feel like it's plagiarism even if it is a photo sharing app, you know? Okay, just my vent for the day.

Cherry Lime

Hey everybody!
How was your spring break??
I went to San Diego with my boyfriend to visit Sea World, the zoo, and the wild animal park. It was an amazing trip. I had so much fun! My favorite part would definitely be the sea lions. They were absolutely hilarious. I'm going to make a post with pictures from the trip and the absolutely hilarious sea lion my boyfriend got on video.
Now, with this look, my boyfriend had some gum in his truck that he always forgets is there and then gets really excited when he finds it. It was Trident Layers Sweet Cherry + Island Lime flavor. So, I made a look based off of it. Coincidentally, the same day, Phlox from EyeGraffiti made a look called Sour Apple Eyes that is similar to mine, just with black. I loooove their looks, so if you haven't checked them out, DO IT! They are fantastic inspiration.
