Late St. Patrick's Day

Hey!! I know, late again. But with good reason. My mom ended up getting out of the hospital, things were good, and then they weren't and she went back to the hospital. She just got out yesterday. I hope it will have been the last time that she had to go back in, but I guess we'll see. I also have been battling being sick and it just got worse. No fun at all. This is also midterms week, but fortunately, two of my midterms have been pushed back to after spring break!
I did this look for St. Patrick's day and the day after. My boyfriend, who is Irish, was out of town for hockey and couldn't be with the me or the family on his day! So, we spent Sunday celebrating the day again since he was back home the day after. It took me sooo long to decide what pictures I would put up. It ultimately came down to the fact that they all looked the same, I was just so in love with this look that I love each and every picture. On top of that, this look might have changed my mind regarding Sugarpill's Tipsy.. I think I like it.. a lot.. Also, I did my nails! It's Sinful Colors... I don't remember the name of it right now, but I know it was one of the colors I got during Halloween when it was on display. I also used this green glitter from LA Splash cosmetics. I love how it turned out. Just ignore the nail polish from another time underneath some nails.. I was running out of time after my makeup, so I didn't grab the nail polish remover to get the remnants off. Oh, well. I'll try to be back with another look soon! It all kind of depends on how fast I can get over this stupid sickness. :( Have a great day, everybody!

Arabic Eyes

FINALLY!!! After a week I was able to make a blog post! My mom had gotten out of the hospital for a couple days and then ended up going right back in. Then I got sick. So, one of the days I was sick I figured I would make the blog post then. No such luck. It turned out that the pictures I had taken on the camera I took without the memory card in. So, all of my pictures were on the internal memory and there's no way to switch it over and I didn't have the cord! I ordered it from Amazon and it came in just the other day. So, sorry for the wait. Thank you all for your support, though! I really appreciate it. :)
On to the look! My inspiration was from the lovely Phlox of EyeGraffiti! I admit, I splurged on Sugarpill's birthday and bought all of the Chromalusts I didn't own, aside from Tipsy. That color looks too much like Midori for me to really want to get it. Anyways, since I am now stocked up on Sugarpill, I HAD to try out one of the looks from their blog. They use Sugarpill a lot, so I couldn't wait to get started! I chose Phlox's Arabic Eyes because I REALLY wanted to use Goldilux. Also, I wanted to attempt a cut crease again and I think I've got it figured out! One thing I do want to say about my look though is it turned out more pink than purple and I also don't have awesome rhinestones to play with or seriously awesome glitter. Sigh. One day.
Thank you guys for waiting! I hope to be back to being more frequent soon! :)

Blog Awards!

Hello! I have a little bit of a collection of blog awards I haven't had the chance to talk about yet! So, I decided it's time to thank the wonderful, amazing bloggers that gave me these awards. I really do appreciate them :)

First up is from the lovely Marla (marlaandmakeup)!

Top 10
The rules of the award are as follows:
1. Thank the person who tagged you and link their blog within the post.
2. Put the award logo in your blog.
3. List your top 10 products in cosmetics/beauty/health.
4. Choose 5 bloggers to do the same.

Hand & body cream: I have very dry skin! SO, something that helps me with my hands is putting on Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream. It's meant for very dry skin and it's pretty greasy. But my hands are the better for it!
Foundation: Cover FX Natural FX
Mascara: I try to use different mascaras. One of my favorites though is Sephora's Advanced Lash Booster. I would LOVE to try Benefit's They're Real!
Makeup remover: The only remover I've used is the one you get from Sephora that's blue.
Makeup primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Nail polish brand:OPI
Lipstick: Right now I just tried out Revlon's Lip Butters. I'm really liking Peach Parfait.
Body Wash: Anything that's from Philosophy!
Perfume: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
Lip balm: Jack Black Lip Balm

Next is from Steffani (madmakeuplove) and Aracely (iridescentmakeup)!

Here Are The Rules:
You must thank the person who gave you the award, including a shout out with a link back to their blog.

Send the award to other bloggers whose blogs you love and let them know about it.

Seven Random Facts About Me:

3. I am a vegetarian! Six years this year!
4. Ever since I read the Hunger Games, I'm determined to try out archery.
5. I really don't like reality television.
6. I love copy editing! I love reading, so it's something I want to do with my life.
7. I am a very corny person. My boyfriend loves to point this out to me all the time.

The next one is from Kori (awkwardpandamusings)!

5. Whats your favorite pet? Dogs.
6. Black or white? Black.

8. Everyday attitude? I try to be optimistic about the day!
9. What is perfection? I literally rewrote this answer so many times. It's hard to define something that isn't really there.
10. Guilty pleasure? Makeup...

Now, seven random thoughts about myself:
Already listed seven. :)

And last, but so very far from least, is from Phlox and Azure (EyeGraffiti)!
Blog Award Backlog
1. Thank the person you received the award from.
2. Say seven random things about yourself.
3. Pass the award to 15 other bloggers.

I would have gone through and made seven extra facts for the previous section and this section, except it was so dang hard to come up with the first seven random facts!!

Thank you ladies so much! :)

This may sound unorthodox but hear me out! I think the idea of awarding blog awards to bloggers is great. It's an awesome experience to get one. But I'm not one to single out certain blogs from others, especially when some blogs have been around for a long time and others are just starting. So, I would like to offer any of these awards to anybody! Anyone who's interested in answering a few questions or figuring out seven facts about yourself, just let me know and I'll put your blog on my post!
I hope everyone is having a great week! :)

Dare To Be Sapphire

Hey! It took me a while to post this look because I couldn't find the cord to the camera to upload the pictures!! Still haven't found the cord yet, but I used the card from the camera, so that worked out.. Anyways, before I did this look I had this crazy swatching mood I was in and started grabbing a bunch of different liners and testing out Sugarpill's Royal Sugar and Magpie on all of them. The colors I liked the most from the turnout was Royal Sugar on Urban Decay's Electric and Magpie on Urban Decay's Binge. Super pretty! So, I felt like working with those colors. When I went to In-N-Out with my boyfriend later that night, the guy who rang up our order was like "Wow! I've never seen eyeshadow that bright before!"
Oh, yeah. Sugarpill rocks.
I hope you guys have had a great weekend!
Have you ever tried an eye shadow on top of an eye liner to change the color?

Crimson Darkness

Hello!! Sorry for the delay, I've had school on the mind as of late. I had been thinking about Asylum again and wanted to pair it up with black. So, I started looking for ideas and I came across this interesting wallpaper. Kind of made me realize that all I need is the black and red, so not too much inspiration is from the pic other than the colors, but I thought it looked interesting enough anyways :D I hope you guys have a great week. I already have my next look in mind, so it should be up pretty soon!

See? Kind of cool. :)

Limeade

Hello everybody! I hope you survived Valentine's Day! My boyfriend took me ice skating and then we went to lunch. He had gotten me the white talking dog from Hallmark that sings or says anything that has to do with "I love you." It was the absolute perfect gift for me, because the year before he got me a talking dog as well. I love them both sooo much. What's funny is the one before, I named Kahlua. Then this one I named Malibu. Any stuffed animal he gets me will be named from alcohol. Alcoholic Stuffed Animals. I don't even like hard alcohol- I just thought it would be funny.
Anyways, it was my friend's 21st birthday last weekend and her favorite color is light green. So, I wanted to make it obvious the look was for her and tried using all the light greens in my BH palette. The name "Limeade" sounded perfect, but when I looked up a pic of Limeade, it didn't really look like that. Though, it did look quite refreshing!! So, I put it up anyways. :)
